It's waffle time, it's waffle time, won't you have some waffles of mine?
I've gotten well into my FFXII second attempt, and it is a huge fucking game. It took me under 50 hours to beat FFX and X-2, even with all the crazy lightning dodging and other sidequests. I'm 58 hourse into this one, and I don't think I'm even close to beating it(I just finished Draklor). The longest a Final Fantasy has ever taken me to beat was 72 hours for my first FFVII playthrough...I'm guessing this one will top it.

Almost 60 hours in, and something is still bugging me: how exactly did Vaan become the "main" character? Was he sleeping with one of the developers? The heroes of the game are clearly Ashe and Basch(maybe Larsa too), and Balthier and Fran are more interesting and charismatic. Vaan just seems to be...there, tagging along.

I have also been wondering...since the female Seeq/Bangaa/Moogle/Nu Mou models are the same as the male ones, perhaps some of the Viera in the game are men? Or maybe futa-girls? >_>; I mean, they have to procreate somehow.

My new "Little Little Kitty" has taken to sucking on my nipple when I'm shirtless. It's cute and creepy at the same time. >_>;

I finally got bored around level 80 and beat it. I have 3 hunts left though and I'm easily in the 80+ hour range now. I have to admit the character development is um... nonexistent. I got about 40 hours in and got really puzzled about that. Great dungeons though and the little Balthier and Fran bits make it all worth it.

Balthier is awesome. And I love Basch. Of course haven't beat Xenosaga Three yet.. but I did boogle all through the flashback to Militia (which was really pretty damn awesome). But then I started playing FFXII and cannot stop. >.>

You know I totally couldn't get in to Basch. Mind you I loved his brother with his pretty short clean look and grumpy thing going on. You finished all the hunts? I am so annoyed with the one in that area right before Giruvegan(?) where you have to clear out ALL the enemies in the fog before the mo-fo will show up as I always seem to forget some no matter what I do.

Xenosaga III= I can tell the real scenario writer quit as it just sort of flounders out of control in the story line dept. I love Jin and KOSMOS both so hard in the face but Shion turns into Shinji from Evangelion so... if you get time finish it... if not... finish it for the Jin and KOSMOS bits if nothing else. The Xenogears tie-back elements are also a lot of fun.

I'm not that far.. and really Basch is endearing because he doesn't know how to dress.. I mean seriously he has a POT HOLDER ON HIS CHEST. and the storyline is pretty intriquing, it's not all about magic, it's about power and politics, which I find fascinating.

I figured that Shion would do that, especially after what happens in Second Militia. I've gotten only as far as the two twins getting caught.. and I'll finish it eventually, once the newlywed stage with FFXII wears down.

Oh yes and the hunt system.. awesome. Though I'm dreading the last hunt, the 50 million HP hunt.

Yeah I do like Basch's ruffles! I dunno... I love the politics but the actual party has little um... attachment because you don't know much really. Very old school.

Yeah I have three hunts left then I'm finished. Oddly I found rare game though that's been tougher than any hunt I've come across. 50 MILL HP gives me a fangirl hard on or something though I must admit. OH THE CHALLENGE OF IT ALL.

Do you have the bubble belts yet? LOVE THEM.

Bubble belts are sex, but the best accessory is that Nihopalacoa thingie. I totally can't spell it's name, but it's awesome. That+Remedy=Great justice.

They both should be available from that Bangaa when you reach Riskbreaker rank, or maybe the one before it.

I liked Shion in Episode I...y'know, nerd love. In Episode II, she's odd...in the first one, she just seemed bemused by Jin in that sibling way. In the second one, she seems to hate his guts. She seems more irritated by Allen too(maybe it's just her time of month). :/ I don't really like her new voice either.

On FFXII, it's funny, I actually like the party more than some of the recent ones. Vaan is kind of vanilla, but it's better than Tidus's "Daddy never hugged me" and "This is my story, not yours" schtick(another Shinji wannabe). I like that Vaan cared so much about his brother, and the war-torn nation thing actually feels really topical right now.

The others...I dunno, they just seem so much more mature than all the adolescents we usually get. And the background info/development is about as much as we get in a lot of acclaimed games. Like, the cast of Chrono Trigger or Zelda or most of the people in FFIX.

I really like a lot of the NPCs too. Larsa and Vayne are wonderful, and I love both of the Cids(Al and Doctor).

Bubble Belts and Nihopalacoa(sp?) are the best things ever. Do you fight with Active or Wait turned on?

I hate Gabranth, though maybe I'm not far enough. It's a good kind of villainy hate, I like him as a villain, it just bothers me that he's supposed to be one of the "good" judges(along with that chick). I'm sorry, he destroyed a nation and sold out his brother. He's an asshole.

Basch is my favorite character. I always love the loyal characters, they strike me as the most heroic.

The guy you're talking about is that golem, Roblon, right? The guy's son or something? I tried that after I beat the Bomb King, and those fucking skeletons would not stop fucking my ass. I finally gave up.

I haven't beaten Xenosaga II yet, but what I really want out of III is some stuff with Virgil, Feb, Wilhelm, Margulis, Pelegri, Kevin, etc. Albedo is great, I love him, but he seems to hog all the villain screen time in the first two. :/

LALALALA, I still haven't beaten Xenosaga II yet, though I have gotten far enough that I'm a Rubedo/Albedo and Albedo/Sakura fan now. ^^; Margulis/Jin might be nice too.

I was actually planning to hit Xenosaga heavy and play all three back to back, but then Valkyrie Profile 2 hit and FFXII after that. I've still been playing in little spurts, but the fights just drag.

Basch is my favorite character. He and Ashe are OTP. Balthier and Fran are awesome, I love both of their voices.

Yes the fights drag.. and in order to be truly useful.. you have to do alot of powerleveling.

*nod* And that means more fighting. :( It also bugs me that you basically have to equip the swimsuits to get more skills...there are some points where it really detracts from the mood to have Ziggy beating ass in snorkeling gear. >_>;
